Tajikistan: Cities & Seven Lakes
Seven days from ancient Panjakent and the mountain lakes of the Fann Mountains to Khujand and Dushanbe. The route brings together Sogdian history, Silk Road cities, local markets and the landscapes of northwestern Tajikistan.
About This Tour
This journey combines the cultural heritage and landscapes of northwestern Tajikistan. It begins in Panjakent with the ancient settlements and history of Sogd before heading into the Shing Valley and the Seven Lakes of the Fann Mountains.
From there, the route continues through Istaravshan and Khujand before ending in Dushanbe. Over seven days, ancient sites and historic landmarks give way to mountain valleys, traditional markets and the everyday life of Tajikistan’s cities.
